Top Hat and Tails 2011

Paws in the City held its annual gala, Top Hat & Tails, on June 18, 2011 at the Frontiers of Flight Museum at Love Field. Guests were refreshed with cocktail creations by Maker's Mark, Effen Vodka, and Cruzan Rum and appetizers from The Office, Fish City Grill and Gordon Biersch while perusing over the silent auction. Guests then enjoyed a delicious sit down dinner catered by Wendy Krispin and desert by Society Bakery and Pokeyo's Cookies and Ice Cream. The evening’s mission is to raise funds to rescue dogs and cats set to be euthanized at the city shelters.  

Host Preston Pearson and Master of Ceremonies Scott Murray started the evening showing our guests how their donations help by bringing dogs on stage.

I get asked to participate in many charity events, and Top Hat & Tails is one I truly look forward to every year.  When you find a way to combine the love of animals with dancing, how can you go wrong?  I love that the celebrity dancers take it so seriously and the audience shows them so much love and support.  It's a fun event for a fabulous cause.

I cannot tell you how much positive feedback I have gotten from the event.  We had a photographer there and we have run the video over and over - its wildly popular.  So many people told me this might have become the new "most fun" event in Dallas.  It was SUCH a good time.  I had the  time of my life and then some.  What an abolutely fabulous experience on every single level!

My experience with Top Hats and Tails was nothing short of fabulous.  It was so much fun to learn the dance and then to perform it on stage was such a thrill! There are many worthy charities and it is hard to be unique in your efforts to raise money. Top Hat & Tails was an extremely well organized event that was fun and totally different. Everyone that participated from attendees to entertainers had a wonderful time. I would recommend that people get involved in whatever capacity they can. You will be glad you did.
